Sara is coming home

Sara is coming back from three months in Africa and we can not wait to see her. She and David should be back on Thursday. For three months, I had Wednesday marked on my calendar. I sure am glad that David's mom told me the right date. Years ago, when we were picking her and Aleia up from the first African adventure, we were at the airport a day early. It is hard read these tickets, it takes a day to get home and they lose a day. Pray for good weather and safe landing.

Atlanta Speedway

Mark and I got off the interstate and got lost looking for an Antique store. Mark realized that we were close to the Atlanta Speedway. He has been there a couple of times when Farm Bureau sponsored a car. He wanted me to see how big it was. We expected to see it from a distance behind a locked gate. To our surprise the gate was open , so we drove right into the race track area. We got out of the van and Mark showed me the pit, the racetrack, the arena and where all the tents set up. When we left, we saw by the sign that the next race was in 6 days, Labor day. We hit the only day when the gates was open for early arrivers, but before the crowds came. I enjoyed seeing it when it was not crowded.
