set a guard over my mouth

Try to read your bible early in the day to get your daily assignment. In Psalms 141 and 142 I read phrases like: I cry out to the Lord with my voice, I lifted up my voice and give ear to my voice. Psalms 141:3 says set a guard over my mouth o Lord and keep watch over the door of my lips. Verse four says to take away my inclination for evil. The rest of the chapter... I am in constant prayer against evil deeds. Listen to the word of the Lord, it is true and will help you escape the traps set by the enemy. Let the righteous rebuke me. It is kindness and medicine for our soul, don't let me refuse it. Today, I watched Joyce Meyers right after reading this and she was talking about positive words and the effect that they have on us. We need to pay attention to what we say. Words are a powerful weapon. God wants to use our mouth, but so does the the devil. I plan to try to watch what I say and to make a journal of positive verses in the bible to memorize and to quote. We tend to believe what we hear ourself say. So, if you talk negative about ourself.. I can not, I will never...I am so.. we believe it. So, for today try to quote verses like Philipians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Have a positive day
