storm supper
We are watching the clouds and listening to the storm warnings. This exit has one motel. We pulled in the drive with the winds blowing hard. We get into the hotel just as the rain begins. I tell Mark that I can make supper from what is left in the food box. Mark ask me what I am going to cook on, so I turn around realize no fridge or microwave in this room. I grab my XL gadget and make grilled ham and cheese out of the last ham and bun and colby jack cheese. I cook tomato covered with mozzerello cheese. Then I take the last of the peaches, stale bread, butter and milk and sugar and make a very good peach cobbler that cooks while we eat. Mark loved supper. We saved money, used up food that would have been thrown and stayed out of the storm.
