Broke down in Burkesville Kentucky

We had a great show in Lafayette Tennessee .  We sold a lot of stuff and met a lot of nice  people.  We sold so much stuff that we really need to go shopping before our next  show. We also need  to meet with Shirley in Russel Springs Kentucky  about the 127 yard sale in August.
We heard a noise about 45 miles from Russell Springs and got out and saw smoke and knew that  our Journey was done for the day.  We called AAA and they sent a tow truck. The driver  convinced us that our best bet was to drive back 5 miles  to Burkesville  for the  best  hotel and Chevy dealership and rental car place.  We left our trailer in a stranger's yard  and watched another stranger drive off  with our suburban on his tow truck. So, here we are...sort of stuck. We are beginning to think that  maybe he did not want to drive any further on a Sunday  afternoon.
We stay  in a lot of  hotels.  This the best hotel in town because it is the only hotel in town.  When you pay 70 something dollars, you would expect a microwave, fridge, clock, coffee pot, decorations on the wall, nice flower beds or at least breakfast.  Alas, we have a bed and not much  more to brag about.  We are staying in a 39 dollar hotel  and paying much more. The local diner ripped us off at lunch, and we got rained on as we walked back to our hotel.
But, as Mark says,  we have had worst problems.  Mark is taking a nap and then we plan to take another  walk   through  town and by the river.  Next,  we  hope to watch our cooking show on our 6 inch T,V.  if it picks up more than 3 channels.  Sure hope the car repair goes better tomorrow.  Life on the road is never dull, especially for Mark and Connie.
