Selling names

When we were at the Sherman march yard sell ,  we were set up beside a very interesting neighbor who did not believe in shaking hands.. She knew someone who die by shaking hands, did not trust anyone and told storys about  identity theft that happen to her at different stores.  The locals told us not to judge their town by her and that she was harmless. We   enjoy meeting different sort of people,  so we were fine with our neighbor and traded  stuff with her during the day.  One of the things that Mark got from her was a sign that said Lincoln Parking only.  I was not sure where we would be able to sell that sign, but it was ours.

The next week at the peacock festival, we bought 97 plates from a grand daughter that did not want all of those expensive plates that her Granny had bought  in the 80's.  We were not sure if we could sell them. But she needed money to go to Vet school (so that she could take care of cats) so we bought them.

This week in Tennessee, the plates sold better than we expected.  A lady came  by and I showed her that I had them stacked according to content,  such as,  art, animals, babies, dancers.  I showed  her a  foreign plate that was very different from the rest.   When I opened the box,  we saw the word Aida at the top and she exclaimed," that is my name".  So, of course she had to have that plate.  I opened up the one box that was special to her.

Later, a young couple came by and asked how much for the road sign.  When I  told them,  they could not get their money  out fast enough.  As, they walked away with their sign, she turned around and told me that their last name was Lincoln.

I think   that God has a sense of humor and loves  use our little business to bless others and show me that he is near.
