On His journey to Jerusalem Jesus had:
Large crowds with lots of people who needed healing
Pharisees trying to trip Him up with difficult questions
Disciples rebuking children that He love and wanted to bless
Rich young ruler leaving when he did not like His answer
He tried to tell the disciples what He was facing when he got there
but they did not seem to hear or understand or get it
Instead, He had to deal with a meddling mom who wanted the best
positions for her two sons and them saying they could handle it
Then, of course the other 10 get upset
So, He has to spend time trying to tell them that the first will be last
and the last will be first by telling them a parable...not sure they got it
And I am pretty sure they did not get the greatest among them is to be servant
Even when He tells them that He came to serve, not to be served
As they depart from Jericho with a great multitude following Him
Two blind men start crying out to Him and the crowd rebukes them
and they cry louder, Have mercy on us, Son of David.
Jesus stops and has compassion on them and touches them
and they receive their sight and follow Him.
