Auto swap meet man

I met an 80 year man a the Moultrie swap meet, When I walked up to his booth I heard him say, I am ready to sale it all and get out of the business. Then, he smiled and said, But I love it. Then he asked where I lived. when I told him Moultrie in my best southern draw, he told me that he thought that he recognized that New York accent. His very next question was. are you a christian and I said, yes sir. When I told him that I was baptist, he told me that they were praying for you baptist. We laugh and I told him that I heard that it took Baptist to save and non-denomination to put a fire in the belly. We talked about our churches and T.V. ministers, and Billy Graham. We both decided that no one could not possibly say any thing bad and Billie Graham or his wife, Ruth. I told him that I heard that it took baptist to save and non denomination church to put a fire in the belly. I think it is great that at 80 he still sharing his faith He said that he loved the alter call that his church did every Sunday, so that he could take care of business with God. I told him that the small church that I grew up in had alter calls and I felt like I had to go up every Sunday that I did not feel God,s presence until I learn to trust that He is with because He promised that He would never leave me or forsake me. He asked me about my children and as I spoke of each one, he would ask, do you love them and I would say yeas sir I do. He asked me question that made me talk about myself and made me feel good. I felt like he really cared and wanted to get to know me. a customer came, so I told him goodbye and left. I told him I would try to get back by to see him later. The encounter was maybe 10 minutes but it made my day, Made me feel good about myself and people in general and it made me call my Mom one the way back to my booth and make plans to see her and Aunt Dot next week. Bless someone to day by showing interest in them. Make people feel good about themself when they are with you. Learn to listen
