Love rejoice when truth wins out

Love is never glad about injustice, but rejoice when truth wins out. You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free is a favorite verse. But it is only half of the truth, go back and read John 8:31 where it says, If you continue in my word. You can know the truth and not act on it and still be in bondage. I have a friend who is always seeking truth. The place to find truth is in the word, and then you find it apply it to your life. In Exodus we find in the by ten commandments, Honor you mother and father. The we find do not bear false witness, that means do not lie. My kids knew that they would be in more trouble it they got caught in a lie than for any thing they did. It is hard to gain back trust that is lost. Tell the truth and face the consequences. It is better to get it over with and tell the truth, than going around feeling guilty and anxious about getting caught. You will receive fair and just punishment from parents and forgiveness. It is important in any relationship to be trustworthy or worthy of trust.
