Farmers=great conservationist
Mark and I try to walk twice a day, so that when we travel we will be able to hike. We do walking trails in state parks, parking lots around small towns when we travel and around pecan orchards when we get the chance. Mark worked for Farm Bureau for 30 years and farmers were his best clients and he has always had a great respect for their work. He tell me that good farmers are great at conserving the land or they do not stay in business. The are the backbone of this country. They water using pond water, they use mulch and manure for crops and use other methods to preserve the land. They also seem to be looking to the future better than most. Today, as we walked through an orchard, we noticed new trees had been planted. When you looked down the lane, it seem to be random When you walked through, you noticed a diagonal pattern that matched up with large older trees. What wisdom to plan for the future of the orchard by planting baby trees way before having to let trees go. Which by the way will be used. Reminds me of God's wisdom, your life is going along and every thing seems random and out of control. But remember, God know his plans for you, and is in control and his sees the pattern and knows what you need to do. Why not ask Him today to put you on the right path.
