A soft answer turns away wrath

Mark and I always make a point to makes friends and help our booth neighbors. I was back at the R.V. making breakfast for someone that we knew slept in a car, (remember Kevin). When I got back Mark said that we may have trouble with this neighbor because he had smarted off at someone and at Mark, when he tried to intervene. Mark left to go buy stuff and I smiled at the man and talked to him about trivial things. By the time Mark got back, I told him about the man and he and mark got a fresh start and the rest of the day was very pleasant. Mark is usually the one that smooths things over, but this time I was able to turn things around. He may be gruff ,but his is a Vietnam Vet So like every other time that Mark meets a Vet, he shook his hand and told him that he appreciates him taking care of all of us.
